Great food and value in a classic '50s building.

Great, personable waitress. Breakfast food was average. Place needs a good cleaning, especially floors at the molding. Seats upholstery repaired by massive amounts of duct tape, making the ambiance very unappealing. Prices and menu choices reflect what you would see in a higher quality restaurant.

Usually I never review places but today was the worst service I've had. Waited almost 10 mins to even get waited on (this is because my boyfriend got up and went searching for them) because they were outside smoking and not paying attention to who was coming in. Home fries were disgusting, they were deepfried and tasted like old oil. Had to call the waiter over to get refills since she was too busy talking to the cook rather than making sure the customers were taken care of. I don't think I will ever go here again. I used to go all the time, this place has really gone downhill!!

This is a REAL typical Diner. The owner is usually on site. The food is simple, basic, and tasty. The portions are generous, ,and the prices are most reasonable. If you have enough space, there is a DESSERT MENU. And, ,you can have coffee with all your dessert. Ask for RUTH. She is the owner, and very hospitable.

Always love this place, not anymore. Ordered a Ruben and the meat was literally rotten... Nasty very nasty.. luckily only had one bite, that was enough to make my bf sick...

George's is a must if you are driving through Lima, NY. Toys all around the perimeter of the place for the kids to play with. Great old time diner food and service.

If you like good food that is made from scratch then you will like George's. Nothing fancy, just good food.

This is a good place to go for breakfast but I don't recommend it for lunch or dinner times. The only things you might order if you did go at those times should be a sandwich or something light - dinners not recommended. And for sure, don't get the so-called sloppy joe! Where's the meat? Oh, waitresses are friendly and pleasant but I can't say the food is so very good all-in-all. For the most part it is where the regulars go to meet and talk; enjoy their coffee and burger or something of that sort.

Excellent food prepared & served by professional, friendly people.

Food was okay (had turkey with mashed potatoes and applesauce) but it took 45 minutes to get to us. The owner was there and seemed like she had no head on her shoulders. Forgot to bring us a menu twice while there was only one other table in the whole place. When she finally took our order, it took about 20 minutes to come out. Will not be going back.

Food was alright. Staff seemed nice. When you walk through the entrance, you have to walk through plastic flaps that don't feel or look sanitary. Most of the seats are patched with ductape. The floors didn't look to be properly cleaned. But they had decent prices for their food.

Great food. Good for people watching. Weird old guy who wouldn't stop telling stupid stories. But the cute thick waitress with the horse tattoo on her back gave me a great time!

Love, love this restaurant, been going there since I was five. 57 yrs. It's like a Cheer's TV show but better.Food is home made awesome.
